We are a non-profit circle of truth seeking activists. We help expose frauds online.
(breathe.org really doesn’t want you to read this…)
As we all know, the Internet is an amazing tool. Unfortunately, it can also be used by unscrupulous individuals to tell lies, falsehoods and to mislead people. We are a nonprofit circle ot truth seeking activists who help expose frauds online. We believe in freedom of information, but at the same time we believe that the information must be truthful.
If we find a website with questionable claims, we spend time and money doing a thorough investigation. That’s our job and we take it seriously.
One website that caught our attention recently is breathe.org. While we have just begun our investigation of breathe.org, here’s what we have already found:
He Lies About His Identity
On various versions of his site, the creator of breathe.org claims that his name is “Christian Truman.” Yes, in order to mislead you, he makes up the name “Christian” Truman. This is a lie. The owner and creator of the site is David Lucas Burge. When we learned that he lies about his name, we asked the question, what else is he lying about?
Burge Lies About Breathe.org
He claims that breathe.org is a “nonprofit circle of health-conscious activists” and that “we are longtime natural food veterans, each of us with decades of knowledge in the natural food community.” Yet, the truth is, David Lucas Burge is the only person who created, designed, wrote and maintains the site. There is no “circle.” There is no “we.” There is no “each” or “us.” There is no other person involved in this site. There is only one person who owns, created and operates the site, David Lucas Burge.
So the big question is, who is David Lucas Burge and is he really a consumer “watchdog?” Does he have any training whatsoever in the field of natural wellness, because he says, “We’re here to help you in your quest for natural health” and “We are longtime natural food veterans.”
The easy answer is no, not at all. Not by a wide margin. This “health-conscious activitist” who wants to help you in your quest for natural health” does not have a single shred of training in science, medicine, nutrition, health, or natural healing! None. Natta. He has no medical degree, no Ph.D., in fact he has no college or university degree! (Maybe high school health class?) So what is David Lucas Burge an expert in? You’ll be as AMAZED as we were with what we found out!
David Lucas Burge and The “Perfect Pitch” Scam!!!
Yes, our “consumer watchdog” David Lucas Burge is the creator of “The Perfect Pitch Ear Training Course” which he claims can “enable you to sing any tone from memory, play songs by ear, improvise with ease like a pro and compose music in your head” among many other wild and outrageous claims.
Burge Sells a product online that is called “A COMPLETE RIPOFF!” Believe it or not, David Lucas Burge has been selling a product online that for years has been called “a complete ripoff,” “snake oil,” “BS,” “garbage” and a lot worse! Are you kidding us David? You’re supposed to be the “consumer watchdog!”
Here’s what people who have spent up to $389 (yes, nearly $400) for David Burge’s Perfect Pitch Ear Training SuperCourse have to say:
“A complete waste of time, money and hope. I’m sending it back for a refund since he essentially lied about the program.”
“This course seems to a combination of snake oil…, with Mr. Burge insisting that faith and slick talking will improve your ear.”
“I am so glad I didn’t spend my own cash on this garbage. Although it was a loaner, I would still like a refund on the time I wasted listening to it. The reviewer who likened it to Snake Oil was spot on.”
“Save your money, don’t buy it. It’s a complete waste of time. I walked away from it with disappointment.”
“Good reviews of this product are coming from David Lucas Burge’s team. Trust me, please: He spends more time talking about why he is important than teaching you anything.”
“This course is a complete ripoff. What a bunch of BS!”

Feel Free to add your review if you think the product is a RIPOFF.
There’s plenty more we have found regarding his CD singing scam program, but here’s one more reviewer who says you can get the same information online for FREE!
“Review of David Burge Relative Pitch Super Course: Save $389, their “list price”, and just practice with one of the freeware programs above. Sure throwing away $389 on a horrible program can get you motivated enough to spend time practicing, but you won’t improve anymore than just using the freeware. If he took out all the fluff his course would be 1 cd long with a short booklet of exercises. The rest of the stuff is pure hype to make the bloated price seem reasonable”

And so it turns out our consumer “watchdog” really is the one who needs the watching! How can you believe a website designed by someone who:
- Lies about his name!
- Lies about his website!
- Sell a product online that has been called “a complete ripoff,” “a bunch of BS” “snake oil,” “pure hype,” “garbage” and “a complete waste of time and money.” (and believe us, these are some of the nicer things said online about his program as we won’t publish the harsher ones…at least for now)
So if David Lucas Burge Lies about all that, what else does he lie about?
He Lies About FreeLife’s “2-Person Science Team.”
FreeLife’s Science Team is 8 members strong (not 2 as Burge says) and they hold a combined 23 advanced degrees! Their work has been published in over 1,400 medical journals and more than 100 books. They come from prestigious Universities like Tufts, University of Illinois at Chicago, University of California and Cornell Medical College.
Burge mocks one member of the Science Team who does not have a college degree. Last time we looked, having a college degree did not guarantee success in life. Just ask Bill Gates and Steve Jobs. Oh, by the way, Burge fails to mention on his site that he too has no college degree, no university degree, no music degree, no science degree!
Think about that one for a minute. This consumer “watchdog” is bashing someone because they do not have a college degree, yet the “watchdog” himself has no college degree. Wow!
And the lies just keep coming.
Burge Completely Misleads Consumers About FreeLife’s Published Clinical Studies On GoChi.
First he refers to a “report” done by Paul Gross, which attempts to discredit one of FreeLife’s studies. He fails to mention that Paul Gross is affiliated with a competing goji product company and wrote his report in an apparent attempt to gain more product sales of his own. Mr. Gross’ “report” is completely false, lacks any scientific rigor and is competely discredited by the objective scientists who have reviewed this study and accepted it for publication in The Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine.
Gaining acceptance in The Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine is not easy. Only about 20% of the studies that are submitted for publication are accepted by this journal. This means 80% are rejected. Acceptance in a peer-reviewed journal means that the research has been independently certified for fairness, honesty and accurancy by a tough panel of objective, expert judges.
Hiding the Truth!!
Second, Burge purposely fails to disclose any information regarding several other studies that FreeLife has published regarding GoChi.
The journal of Nutrition Research featured another FreeLife study demonstrating GoChi’s unique ability to improve the body’s antioxidant power and to decrease harmful free-radical damage. A third GoChi study, reported in the Journal of Medicinal Food, showed significant improvement in multiple biological markers of immunity. Acceptance of these three studies by leading journals represents a first for a functional juice beverage in the Direct Selling industry, and it demonstrates FreeLife’s ongoing commitment to supporting its claims with solid scientific research.
He also fails to mention the 20 other scientific presentations from around the world on FreeLife’s products. (Click Here to view list.)
Finally, he fails to mention the 109 studies published on the active ingredient in goji (lycium barbarum) on the U.S. government database of scientific research called pubmed.org.
The Irony of Ironies from the “Perfect Pitchman!”
Here’s the irony of it all. Burge claims that his “University research proves his Perfect Pitch method works.” (http://www.perfectpitch.com/research.htm) He cites two “studies” “from two leading universities” as proof of this. But here is the kicker, HIS STUDIES HAVE NEVER BEEN PUBLISHED IN ANY JOURNAL WHATSOEVER! Yes, Mr. Watchdog himself, who is highly critical of legitimate peer-reviewed, published research, is using research from “two leading universities” to “pitch” his product that has never been published in any peer-reviewed journal! Never!
Burge uses unpublished student papers as proof that his program “works.”
Not only that, we called the two universities Burge mentions where the “studies” were done and were shocked to find out that these “studies’ were actually done by 2 students, not Professors!!! Yes, Burge touts these unpublished, student papers as valid “university research” proving “Burge’s Perfect Pitch Method works.”
Is he joking? Unpublished, student papers! And Burge is highly critical of real, published studies done by Ph.D’s?
But wait, there’s more!!
Burge lies about his “Open Air” policy.
Burge wants you to believe he is an honest, fair-minded person. On his site he states, “We are human beings. If anything we have stated is not correct, please inform us and we will make it right.”
Simply not true.
Burge has access to all the facts about FreeLife’s research, the clinical studies, the Science Team on FreeLife.com. He simply chooses to ignore them.
Burge even refuses to engage in healthy dialog with FreeLife!
We have personally spoken to 2 executives at FreeLife who have told us that the CEO and Co-Founder of FreeLife, Ray Faltinsky, has personally reached out to Burge on numerous occasions and offered to meet with him by phone or in person to discuss their differences and clear the air. Ray Faltinsky is a big believer in open dialog in resolving disagreements. But Burge has rejected this invitation on each occasion, unwilling to even have a phone call with the CEO of the company he is so openly critical of.
What kind of consumer “watchdog” who is legitimately trying to bring truth and honesty to his readers, refuses to speak with the founder of the company he is bashing? Have you ever heard of an honest “investigator” who won’t talk with the CEO of the company he is investigating? Is that how a legitimate investigator would try to find the truth? Obviously not. It appears that…
Burge is not interested in the truth!
He seems only interested in furthering his lies.
Do you really need to read anymore?
Or is it all becoming clear now?
You can’t believe a word that Burge says because he:
- Lies about his name.
- Lies about breathe.org.
- For years has been selling a product that has been called a “rip-off,” “snake oil,” “garbage” and much worse.
- Lies about FreeLife’s Science Team.
- Misleads people about FreeLife’s 3rd party, peer-reviewed, published research, while at the same time using his own studies, done by students not Professors, that have NEVER BEEN PUBLISHED ANYWHERE to promote his own product!
- Lies about his “Open Air” polciy and refuses to speak with the CEO of the company he is investigating.
More Stunning Revelation about Burge to Come!
We’ve just begun our research into David Lucas Burge and his Internet scams and lies.
The more we look, the more we find.
Please let your truth-seeking friends know about this site.
By the way, we won’t make up a fake name on our site like “Christian Truman”…oh, we mean, David Lucas Burge, does. But we also won’t put our name on this site because we know we are dealing with a crazy “watchdog” with a history of telling lies at every turn and there is no telling what he might do to us.
